Tube Strike Cripple Activities In London, Yesterday

Frustrated commuters took to Twitter this morning as a 24-hour Tube strike caused travel chaos for millions making their way into work.
Hundreds of workers - many of whom set their alarm clocks for hours earlier than normal to deal with the effects of the strike - described conditions as 'absolute carnage' as huge queues formed at bus stops and roads were heavily congested with traffic.
As massive crowds gathered on already packed train platforms across the capital, those caught up in the widespread disruption branded the industrial action 'ridiculous' and 'the worst thing in the world'.
Meanwhile, Uber drivers increased the price of their fares to three times the usual price to cash in on the transport misery caused by the dispute.
