Newcastle have become the first team to beat Chelsea this season after putting up a spectacular display in their 2-1 defeat of Jose Mourinho’s side at Saint James Park.
It was remarkable for Alan Pardew’s team, after playing the last 20 minutes with ten men following Steven Taylor’s red card.
Prior to the match,Chelsea had played 23 matches unbeaten and were on the cusp of making it the 24th, which would have been their best ever start to a season.
