The Ogun State Police Command has arrested a 26-year-old man, Emmanuel Olowu, for allegedly robbing worshippers of their belongings at the Redemption Camp along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
The suspect was among the nine suspected armed robbers arrested in various towns, including Ogere, Ibara, Ajuwon, Sango-Otta and Adatan and paraded Thursday at the state command headquarters, Eleweran, Abeokuta.
According to a statement made available by the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Muyiwa Adejobi, Olowu was found in possession of a toy gun, some phones and undisclosed amount of money.
He was said to have been nabbed on Tuesday, December 9 at 11:48pm while robbing worshippers during some of the church activities at the Redemption Camp.
