Nintendo Boss Has Passed At Age 55

The Nintendo boss who brought the world the Wii and the DS has died aged 55.
Tributes flooded in from around the world for Satoru Iwata who passed away after a long battle with cancer.
One showed the body of Iwata being surrounded by sobbing computer game icons Super Mario and Pikachu.
Even rival Sony’s PlayStation account said: “Thankyou for everything, Mr Iwata.”
Iwata got the top job at the gaming giant in 2002 when he was aged just 42.
During his tenure Nintendo released the hugely successful Wii and the DS.
A statement from the company said: “Nintendo Co, Ltd deeply regrets to announce that President Satoru Iwata passed away on July 11, 2015, due to a bile duct growth.”
Hooked on computer programming in high school, Iwata told developers he was a “gamer at heart”.
But in his later years he came under pressure from investors amid competition from Sony and Microsoft and a shift in casual gamers to smartphones.
Nintendo made its first annual operating profit in four years to the year that ended in March.
