I Will Revive General Hospitals, Airport Hotel If Elected In 2015 – Wike

The gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Rivers State, Barrister Nyesom Wike
yesterday promised the people of the state that if elected into office as the governor of the State,
his administration would resuscitate general hospitals in the state and Airport Hotel.


He disclosed this at Isiokpo, Ikwerre local government area, during the flag off of his campaign.
Wike affirmed that his government would inject life to health facilities in the state. He also added
that his administration would review the contract for the leasing of government owned Oil Palm Estate.

Risonpalm, so that the people of Ikwerre local government area will benefit from the project.

“We all know that Risonpalm has been sold. When we come to power, we will look into it and bring back our Risonpalm, so that our people can be employed,”

He also stated that funds will be injected into the state owned Airport Hotel so that it will employ
the people of Ikwerre local government. “It is important for you to know that our government will
always talk to you. We will fulfil our promises.

“When we told the women that we will pick a woman deputy governor, they thought I was playing. Now, wehave done that. This is the only party that believes in women,”

Wike noted that his running mate, Dr Ipalibo Banigo happens to be a seasoned technocrat and a former
civil servant.

“With her, our relationship with civil servants will be cordial. Salaries will be paid as and when due.
“That is why we say, there must be a connection between we and the civil servants, and that is why we brought Dr Banigo,”.
