Hundreds Of Moslem Worshippers Escape Death, As Suicide Bomber Blow Up Self


Hundreds of Muslim faithful that converged for late evening prayers at Umar Ibn Khattab located along Zaria road by Zoo road roundabout escaped death by whiskers when 13 years old female suicide bomber prevented from entering the mosque blew herself up 50 meters away.
Eye witness, Sulaiman Ibrahim told Vanguard that an unsuspecting police officer that escorted the teenage bomber across the busy road lost his ear lobe.
Mr. Ibrahim said that the teenage bomber spirited attempt to enter the mosque was frustrated by local vigilante guarding the mosque.
He explained that barely five munutes after the encounter with the vigilante and was been escorted by police officer that a loud bang was heard .
Ibrahim said the incident happened at about 9:21pm shortly after the conclusion of the congregation prayers of both Isha and Tarawe.
Police spokesman in Kano, Assistant superintendent of police, Musa Magaji Majia confirmed the explosion saying that it’s only the female suicide bomber that killed died from the blast.
Majia said that the area has been condoned by the combined team of security operatives, as he revealed that normalcy has been restored.
The police spokesman disclosed that “few people sustained injuries” during failed attacked.
He advised the residents to be vigilance and report any suspicious persons or object to the nearest security formation in the state.
