David Beckham Set For A Role In King Arthur Movie

David Beckham is set to star in another of director Guy Ritchie’s movies after scoring a role in King Arthur.
The former footballer, 40, will be donning medieval garb for an unknown role in the Middle Ages epic.
Filming started this week with Charlie Hunnam in the lead role. Jude Law, Eric Bana and Poppy Delevingne are all confirmed. A source told a UK film website: “There’s going to be a version of the scene where Excalibur gets drawn from the stone. This is where Beckham factors in.

“There were some football puns written for this scene. And there’s a little bit of a sense that Beckham’s character, who fancies himself as a big player in this story, gets a little ticked off when this other fellow, this upstart, is the one who can free the sword.”
The dad-of-four is unofficially credited on leading film website imdb.com as playing the role of “Blackleg leader”.
Ritchie and Beckham have previously worked together on a short advert for H&M’s spring collection in 2013 and a commercial for Haig Whiskey.
He is also set to appear in a cameo in Ritchie’s soon to be released blockbuster The Man From U.N.C.L.E
The pair have been friends for years often including actor Tom Cruise on lads’ nights out.
