Okogie Tells Politicians To Stop Attacking Each Other With Past Issues

The Catholic Archbishop of Lagos, Cardinal Olubunmi Okogie has called on Nigerians to rise up and save the
country from imminent and irredeemable destruction.
The cleric spoke as chairman of the 11th edition of the late Gani Fawehinmi Annual Lecture and Symposium with the topic: “Ethnicity, Religion, Illiteracy: Promises and Illusions of Democracy in the Struggle to Uplift the Masses from Impoverishment,” organised by the Ikeja branch of the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, at the Airport Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos.
Okogie, who expressed fear of possible bloodshed in next month’s general elections, joined other Nigerians to call for a change of government in view of the high rate of poverty and insecurity in the country.
