I Was Told Lawyers Will Struggle To Make Heaven – But I Will Still ...

                                        Smart Adeyemi

Smart –that’s the easiest way to describe him. A close look at him reveals a charming man, studious and meticulous. And a closer look will tell you he’s fired up with nationalism.

He his the representative of Kogi West Senatorial District and Senate Committee Chairman on Federal Capital Territory (FCT). But the distinguished Senator of the fifth and sixth (2003 -2011) National Assembly is anything but tired.

His passion for fairness to people keeps him going as he seeks re-election into the Senate for a third term. His name is Senator Smart Adeyemi. He was in Jerusalem, Israel as part of the delegation that accompanied the President on the second edition of “A Day With Jesus,” a day dedicated to praying for Nigeria in Israel.

Dressed to the nines in his trademark sky-blue brocade traditional buba and sokoto, bespoke leather shoes and dark blue traditional cap, he speaks to Omolola Itayemi over lunch at the prestigious Waldorf Astoria, Jerusalem restaurant about how his father discouraged him from studying Law, why he is an asset to Peoples Democratic Party and how he remains a romantic man at heart.
