FAAN Advised Passengers To Make Use Of Service Portal

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) on Wednesday advised intending travelers to visit the Aviation Passenger Service Portal before embarking on their trips.

This is contained in a statement signed by the General Manager Corporate Communications of FAAN, Mr Yakubu Dati, in Lagos on Wednesday.

He said that this was necessary as intending passengers would experience flight delays and cancellations, due to bad weather.

The statement read, "The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria is calling on all intending air travellers to visit the Aviation Passenger Service Portal as a first step in planning their journeys, especially in this harmattan season.
"This is especially so as passengers will experience flight delays and cancellations due to bad weather.
The APS portal launched last month by the Minister of Aviation, Osita Chidoka  is designed as a one-stop platform where the flying public can access real time information about airlines operations and services at any of the airports in Nigeria.
The platform according to FAAN  is a reliable source for verifying information, purposely designed to empower passengers travelling by air from within and outside Nigeria with accurate data with which they can make informed decisions and plan their journey.

The portal also serves as a channel to create positive passenger experience even after the trip.
