But Why Did PDP Women Embarrass VP Sambo’s Wife Now?

At a recent ceremony to distribute items to PDP women supporters, wife of the Vice-President, Amina Sambo, was left on her own, midway into her speech, as the arrival of deputy governor of the state stole the attention of the audience.

Poor Mrs. Sambo was halfway into her speech, when Alhaji Mukhtar Shagari, sauntered in and drew shouts of  “Sai Mai Ruwa”, Sai Mai Ruwa, from the women.
The Second Lady – yes, Second Lady – attempted to continue her speech, but the ‘hailing’ . nof the deputy governor ensued, hence, she was forced to abandon her speech and leave the rostrum for ‘Mr popular’.
Shagari took the podium and the shouts persisted, with the women chanting: “Sokoto sai Mai Ruwa ‘, ‘Sokoto Sai Shagari’, which translates as “Sokoto is for Shagari.”
During his address, Shagari implored them to vote for President Goodluck Jonathan in next month’s general elections, while also commending Amina Sambo, for initiating the projects aimed at improving the situation of women in the state.
