Why Tony Tetuila Stayed Away From Kwara APC Primaries

For those who have been wondering why You don’t hit my car singer, Tony Tetuila, was conspicuously absent at the Kwara State All Progressive Congress (APC) primary elections which held recently, report has it that the member of the defunct Remedy music group took the decision to save his face from any form of embarrassment and blacklisting from the party hierarchy.

Tetuila, who declared his intention to vie for a seat in the Kwara State House of Assembly, and was warming up for the primaries, was said to have been warned earlier, by stakeholders and party elders in his constituency to bury his ambition for now and step down for a more grounded politician, in order for the party not to lose the seat to political opponents.
Their understanding was that Tony is still a greenhorn in the political terrain and as such, was not ripe enough for the position he was gunning for. He was therefore advised, for his own political and personal interest, to forget the position, at least for now, while he should support the party’s choice and wait for his turn.
