(Learning) 7 Rules Of Wearing High-heels

Ladies, do you know there are certain rules to wearing and looking great in heels?
Most ladies are often afraid to wear high-heels as they do not wish to wobble in them and then gracelessly fall off.
Never mind, here are some rules that would help you avoid all that.

1. Start with flats or really low heels:
Don’t assume that you can walk on heels just by watching people do it. Start with about 2-3 inches (5.1-7.6cm) and then walk your way to 3-4 (7.6-10.2cm). Get used to one before you move to the other.

2, Walk in your right size:
You will never walk comfortably in shoes that are not your size; either they are too big or too tight. Sizes differ from designer to designer and country to country though there is a universal system. So find out your right size accordingly.

3. Avoid buying online:
If you can, always buy from stores so you can try out the heels to see if they are comfortable to walk in. Buying online does not give you that chance and size may differ when you get your purchase.

4, Walk from heel to toes:
How you take your steps on heels matters. Some women walk like they are marching. When you walk on flats, you walk resting all your feet on the ground but with heels, place your heel to the ground first followed by your toes after which you move your weight forward as if you’re walking on your tip toes, then push forward to the next step.

5. Don’t wear heels for too long:
I see ladies wearing heels every day of the week; that’s so wrong. Let’s not forget, too much of everything is bad. Wear your heels at most three times in a week. Also, once you are on heels, please, any opportunity you get, grab a chair and sit down. Relax your legs. Never stand on heels for more than five minutes. Wearing heels often can lead to chronic foot and back pain.

6, House to venue, venue to house:
I always question some ladies sense of preservation when I see them walking from bus stop to bus stop in heels. Ladies, if you don’t have a car or a cab man or a boyfriend who could come to pick you from your house to the venue, please, get a very cute flat pair of shoes, sandals or slippers. And when you get to the event, change shoes discretely.

7. Practise at home:
Take a mirror and walk from end to end in front of them at home before you wear your heels outside. Make sure you have perfected grace and confidence before you step out.
