Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho feels the Premier League is the "most difficult" championship to win.
Mourinho has won league titles in Portugal, Spain and Italy, as well as two Premier League titles during his first stint with Chelsea, and he insists he enjoys the competitiveness of England's top flight.
The Blues boss broke a brief media silence on Friday at a press conference, although he admitted he only attended to avoid further punishment.
Despite his apparent issues with some sections of the media, Mourinho has stressed he is happy to work in England.
He told reporters: "I enjoy the challenge of the English competition. I didn't want to choose an easy championship to win.
"I didn't want to choose a championship where you only win or win. I wanted to come to the most difficult one. "And I'm happy with that because I think everyone who wants to be better, as a player or a manager, the best way to do it is to have real competition from day one. That's what we've had."
