Barcelona have announced they have parted ways with Director of Football, Andoni Zubizarreta.
Zubizaretta, who played for the Catalan club between 1986 and 1994, took up the role in 2010 after Sandro Rosell succeeded Joan Laporta as president.
“The president of FC Barcelona, Josep Maria Bartomeu, has decided to rescind the contract of sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta,” the Blaugrana said in a statement on Monday.
