Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP in Rivers State, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, has called on indigenes of the state and all Nigerians to promote unity, friendship, love and peaceful coexistence for the nation to attain development.
In a Christmas message, Wike urged all Nigerians to share love and friendship during the Christmas season. The statement was signed by Simeon Nwakaudu, his Special Assistant on Media. He noted that building of friendship across all divides will place the country on the right pedestal for the much needed development.
“The birth of Christ signifies the beginning of new things in every community. It signifies love, friendship, peace and development. “I urge the people of Rivers State in particular and the rest of Nigeria to celebrate Christmas, bearing in mind that they have to extend love, peace and friendship to their neighbours”. He added: “In Rivers State, this Christmas season is a prelude to the enthronement of New Rivers Vision 2015 in the state for the purpose of galvanizing development all over the state. “The New Rivers Vision will usher in bridges of friendship, peace, love and development all over Rivers State to the joy of the people”.
