APC, PDP Exchange Tirades Over Stomach Infrastructure Concept

                                           Governor Ayodele Fayose

Ekiti State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC) has again locked horns over the concept of stomach infrastructure being espoused in the State by Governor Ayodele Fayose.

The APC asked Governor Fayose, who has started distributing rice and fowls to thousands of Ekiti people to celebrate Christmas and New year festivities, to stop treating Ekiti people as beggars, accusing the governor of promoting beggary among the populace. The party, in a statement by its Publicity Secretary, Hon. Taiwo Olatunbosun , berated Governor Fayose for not fulfilling his electoral promises to Ekiti people, saying his stomach infrastructure slogan is a deceit to treat the electorate like beggars.
The party said the governor has turned Ekiti people to beggars by giving them handouts in form of ‘kwashiorkor-infested chickens not bigger in size than ailing pigeons“, adding that Ekiti people “have now seen the deceit of a man who said he is a friend of the common man with his callous attitude to the people he claimed to love during the period the people are supposed to be happy”. But a statement signed by the PDP State Secretary, Dr Tope Aluko lambasted the APC for adopting Fayose's concept of stomach infrastructure, saying; "it is hypocrisy at its peak to do what you abuse someone else of doing." Details later.
