Man Drove SUV Through Crowd Kill 3, Injured 50, And Stabbing Bystanders With A Knife'


At least three people have been killed and another 50 injured after a SUV ploughed into a crowd of people in Graz, Austria.
The driver is believed to have deliberately drove his vehicle into the crowd at speed - sending several people crashing into the windshield and flying over the car - before getting out and stabbing bystanders with a knife.
It is feared that a seven-year-old boy is among the dead following the incident in Graz's main square. 
Police confirmed the incident but would not give any details or confirm the number of dead and injured persons. 
The incident took place in Graz, Austria's second largest city, took place at 12.30pm, and officers have sealed off the area.
German-language website Krone reported that the man arrested by police is 26 years old and has Bosnian roots. 
'People were screaming in panic and ran into the surrounding shops to get to safety', an eyewitness said. 
Police chiefs told the Austrian  Kleine Zeitung newspaper that the suspect got out of the SUV and started stabbing people with a knife.
Austria's APA news agency said two bodies were lying near the scene, covered with blankets. 
The victims will be remembered at a memorial service, which will take place at th Grazer Stadtpfarrkirche at 6pm today.
