The movie is expected to hit cinemas across Nigeria Obi Emelonye, renowned for directing box office hits such as The Mirror Boy and Last Flight To Abuja, will have moviegoers swarming in great numbers to watch his latest work.
Ramsey Nouah and Mercy Johnson–Okojie, who were ex-lovers in 30 days in Atlanta, team up to render a heart endearing film as a married couple and are joined by Mary Njoku, to set off a thrilling chain reaction in this romantic drama.
The movie has been dubbed by movie pundits and critics as a must-watch.
The film revolves around Pius, a happily married pastor in charge of a large church. His first wife who died seven years ago suddenly shows up, and his world is thrown into turmoil.
His present wife is leaving no stone unturned in ensuring the intruder remains permanently out of his life.
He has to make a tough decision between old sins and new loyalties, taking firm action and surrendering to God’s will, and as to which wife will remain in his home, after all, he is legally married to both.
Weakened by guilt and overwhelmed by sensational revelations, nothing would have prepared Pius towards how rapidly things would descend to chaos as he realised that for hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.
Jason Njoku of Rok Studios said: ‘This is a huge cinema event for Nigeria and we think that moviegoers will be totally enthralled by the incredible story, the quality of production and the incredible performances from Nollywood’s finest.
“Rok Studios has huge ambitions in terms of re-energising Nollywood and producing international-standard cinema from Nigeria. Thy Will Be Done, for us, is the blueprint, the gold standard, if you will, in terms of quality and awesome storytelling that we hope will now define Nollywood.”
