No fewer than three people died on New Year day along Adeoyo State Hospital Road, Ibadan, Oyo State.
The three-member family was on Thursday night crushed to death by a Honda Pilot Jeep at about 8:30pm in what could be regarded as a New Year tragedy.
Sources said that the family members were having a New Year stride on the street when they met their untimely death.

An eye witness told our correspondent that the Honda Pilot Jeep which was driven by a young woman was on high speed and the woman who appeared to be drunk after killing the trio, rammed into an electric pole.
It was gathered that the woman who drove in the company of another woman was in a convoy of other cars when the accident occurred.

Sources further revealed that the corpses of the deceased were later taken to the Adeoyo Hospital mortuary along Ring Road in Ibadan by policemen on patrol.
