The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Plateau State has conducted its primary elections into the various state constituencies, in readiness for the 2015 general election.
The primaries, which were conducted in three out of the 17 local government areas of the state, were peacefully conducted under the supervision of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). In Jos North Local Government, the primaries were conducted in all the two state constituencies, where incumbent Hon. Ibrahim Baba Hassan, scored 112 votes and defeated Alhaji Abdulnasir Saleh, Yusuf Muhammad Dankaura, Aminu Ahmad, Hussaini Adam Maishafi, who scored 55, 2, 18 and 8 votes respectively. Hassan is to contest for the Jos North-North state constituency on the platform of the APC for the third time, having done that under the PDP and the Labour Party.
