Last year, when Nollywood
actress Monalisa Chinda decided to launch a magazine ‘Monalisa Magazine’ with
her ex-lover/partner, Lanre Nzeribe, the public reacted with nods and snorts.
The lifestyle magazine which was named after the actress, promised everything
but consistency. By April this year, Monalisa officially announced her
resignation from the magazine. This piece of news was juicy details for the
media who trailed her departure to her troubled relationship with Nzeribe. The
two lovers threw punches at each other until the media got tired of their
drama.
Despite the actress apparent
failure to fulfill her dream in the publishing world, she is relentless in her
ambition to become Nigerian O!(Oprah Winfrey), a dream that the likes of Mo’
Abudu are currently stoking.
Recently she announced her new
TV show “You and I with Monalisa” that will be airing soon. The new venture is
said to be a heavyweight investment and like the magazine will pool resources
from highbrow professionals in the field. Monalisa is said to be passionate
about her new project. We will keep our fingers crossed and hopes with bated
breath that the actress’ TV show will be more successful than the magazine.
