BBM Meetings Has Arrived!

BBM Meetings has arrived, it did arrive early though. I didn’t notice it until yesterday. It apparently arrived with the last upgrade. To be perfectly honest, though, there’s not much you can do with it until it’s officially announced and even then, it might be limited to BES12.

With a mobile-optimized user experience, BBM Meetings allows on-the-go professionals to meet on BlackBerry 10, Android, iPhone, and both Windows and Mac.

In any case, here’s the rundown of what it offers/will offer:

• BBM chats become meetings at the Tap of a Button
• Answer. Joining a meeting is as easy as that: Stop struggling with conference IDs, passcodes, and PINs. When it’s time to meet, your phone rings. Answer it just like a voice call and you’re in the meeting, ready to go.
• Present anywhere, with ground-breaking mobile collaboration: you can present from your device of choice – mobile or desktop.
• Schedule on the move: Easily start or schedule a video and audio conference from your mobile device.
• Chat while you meet: Send a message to the group while you meet or send a private message to a single attendee.
• Keep meetings on track and productive by managing attendees, even when hosting from a mobile device..
• Dial In: When you don’t have access to data, simply dial in from a phone line.

BBM Meetings requires a paid BBM subscription, so say to safe we’ll be hearing more about those offerings.
