The world's oldest person celebrated her 116th birthday on Saturday in the Detroit-area city of Inkster, Michigan.
Jeralean Talley of Inkster, Michigan, was born in Georgia in 1899. She moved to Michigan in the 1930s and Talley's husband died in 1988 at age 95. The Gerontology Research Group considers her to be oldest person in the world. The elderly woman bowled until she was 104 and doesn't eat butter or take cream in her coffee. She got $116 at a ceremony and President Barack Obama also sent his 'warmest wishes'.
