See Photos Of A Catholic Church In Italy Transformed Into A Mosque

A Catholic church in Italy has been transformed into a mosque to satisfy the wishes of Muslims living in the area (Venice). As part of the Venice Biennale, the former Catholic church opened its doors as a functioning mosque on Friday, -the walls were adorned with Arabic script, its floor covered with a prayer rug angled toward Mecca and its crucifix mosaics hidden behind a towering mihrab. The mosque which is located in Venice's historic center has even got it's own Islamic Coca-Cola machine.
