Punch reports.
Speaking at the inauguration of aviation tele-presence equipment at the ministry in Abuja on Tuesday, Osita elaborated: “Wi-fi services will be inaugurated in Lagos next week to enable passengers to log in with their computers and perform their transactions easily while in transit at the airports.
“This Wi-fi service will be available across all the airports of the nation; this would help to bring our airports services to global standard.”
“The tele-presence device will allow the minister, permanent secretary, and directors of the ministry to sit in the comfort of their offices and hold meetings with the chief executives of the ministry’s agencies across the country, thereby reducing the rate of travelling for meetings.
“I hope that the next aviation minister will be ICT-compliant and continue with the project of building one aviation house that will improve efficiently the running of the industry.”
