David Cameron won his seat with ease in Witney last night, using his speech to call for unity in the UK.
Speaking after he won his own seat in Oxfordshire, Cameron said it was too early to say what the final result would be but that he hoped to govern for everyone and stick to his promise to bring more devolution to the country.
‘This is clearly a very strong night for the Conservative Party. We’ve had a positive response to a positive campaign. Above all I want to bring our UK together – I want my party to reclaim a mantle that we should never have lost, one nation, one UK.’
