Defending champions Real Madrid, were almost dumped out of the UEFA Champions League, after losing 4-3 to Schalke 04 at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Carlo Ancelotti’s men came into the home tie, after an impressive 2-0 win in Germany, but went behind to a Christian Fuchs goal, which Iker Casillas failed to keep out. Cristiano Ronaldo headed the La Liga side level.
Klaas-Jan Huntelaar restored Schalke’s lead again, but Ronaldo rose to head in the leveller yet again.
