President Jonathan
I must confess this result came to me as a shocker. I received 70 votes out of which President Jonathan recorded 51 while Muhammadu Buhari received 19 votes.
Before I am accused of being partisan, I swear on my dead father’s grave that this is exactly the figures that I received. One respondent accused me of taking sides and asked me to publish his comments. I laughed. He did not vote, so he lost the opportunity to make a difference.
What this tells me is that the man on the street still matters in these things because if you follow what is being broadcast one would advise President Jonathan to go back to his first career, fishing. From this poll result, it’s not yet over, he just may be able to swim against the tide if he becomes more constructive and strategic in his moves.
All the ‘God punish you’ campaigns devoid of facts and engagement on the platform of issues should cease. He should throw more serious minded people like Okonjo Iweala and The Agric Minister to the front. Just maybe we would have another four years of Dame Patience.
