My name is Rebecca (not real name) and i am a serving corper here in benue state, makurdi precisely.
On friday, A neighbour came home in tears and blood stains, i couldnt ask because i was hurrying to my ppa(place of primary assignment). On the bike, I saw lots of travellers, some looks like they are never coming back again, but then i wasnt sure what was happening.
AFTER WORK.
I hurried back home to gist my neighbours what i saw today, only to realise my street is almost empty, ah ah! I queried on the sudden development...Oh! Fear for election! i thought but No! it has nothing to do with election!
....so whats going on? mimi, the neighbour that returned earlier day came down from agatu, still in benue state, she travelled to “anyii” the governor's village which is her husbands too.
She had gone to look after her sick mother inlaw butvon getting there, hee six months old baby fell ill, it was too high, she had to travel to agatu the nearest village.
The next day she got a call from “anyii”that fulani herds men attacked anyii residents at about 5am killing lots of people including her brother in law who had locked up her mum inlaw)inside the room since she cant move, and burning houses.
They attacked agatu too, she had rubbed someones blood on her body to appear dead, thank God her baby didnt cry.... It would have been something else. ....
These fulanis are killing like no one else, they are ripping people apart and no one is saying anything, no one is doing anything! We have a governor in this state! campaign is successfully going on well! No one is doing anything? *sobs* mimi, pls!
I have 30days to pass out, i cant die! please beg jonathan to beg suswam to settle this guys! Rumour has it that hes responsible for all these!
